Around the World in 127 Acres: The Arboretum’s Plant Collections

Please join us for this unique new series to learn about The Arboretum’s various plant collections, taught by our Botanical Information experts.

Wednesdays, March 4 through June 10 (no class on May 13)
1:30-3 p.m.

Each class is $5 for members or $7 for non-members.
Please call 626.821.4623 to register; limited to 20 people.
Meet in The Arboretum library. This class is held in the garden, and requires some walking throughout the collections.

The Arboretum’s collection of over 18,000 accessioned plants is roughly divided into five geographic sections, two greenhouses, and several other specialty collections and exhibits. Botanical information consultants David Lofgren and Frank McDonough will take you out into the grounds to tour these fascinating & extensive collections. Be sure to wear comfortable, rugged shoes, clothes you don’t mind getting dirty and bring water because David & Frank are going to take you way off the beaten path and show you fascinating plants you may never have seen before.
